Your role

“Provide technical and administrative support to the site foreman and project manager.

Main responsibilities

Technical support :


  • Study, analyze and master the project's various technical documents, such as plans and specifications;
  • Process and follow up QRI requests, keep TQC plans up to date, etc;
  • Take quantities from drawings and on site for directives, extras and other requirements (take-off);
  • Coordinate and document piping tests (reports, photos, approvals with customers or engineers), monitor test progress and send documentation to customer;
  • Produce shop drawings at the start of the project with the project manager from the standard shop drawing database

Quality control :

  • Organize checklists for the various stages of the project (rough, finishing, etc.);
  • Check the installation of mechanical equipment, finishing equipment, baths and showers and other elements for compliance with plans (e.g.: correct pump installed in the right place);
  • Ensure specialties (valves and others) are installed correctly.

    Work coordination
    :
  • Coordinate the delivery of special equipment to the site (pumps, exchangers, coolers, etc.);
  • Follow up on equipment deliveries a few weeks before scheduled delivery dates;
  • Prepare and attend project coordination meetings with various site stakeholders.

    Administrative support
    :
  • Ensure daily return of site documents to the office: packing slips, time sheets, daily reports, work orders, etc..;
  • Support foreman with work orders;
  • Support project manager with monthly invoicing and billing of directives;
  • Support foreman in interactions with general contractor: weekly meetings, coordination meetings, etc;
  • Coordinate, with the buyer, missing items (B/O) and delivery errors;
  • Coordinate deliveries of finishing and other equipment with the office;
  • Ensure, with foreman, that all returnable material is returned as quickly as possible.

    Progress monitoring
    :
  • Take photos of all stages of work on each floor and record them on the network as you go along;
  • Take photos of sensitive items with the customer (cleaning, equipment breakdowns, etc.) to protect our interests;
  • Make regular rounds to document work progress.

    Work compliance
    :
  • Manage deficiency lists: read them, have them corrected, return signed and commented lists;
  • Document corrective measures with photos;
  • Manage specialist consultants: seismic, chemical treatment, balancing, to ensure certificates and reports are received.”

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction engineering or a DEC in building mechanics
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Own a vehicle
  • ASP construction card
