Your role

Under the supervision of the BIM Manager, the BIM Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the use of digital models in a construction project, working with project managers, estimators and foremen to ensure consistency, updating and efficient sharing of information.

Main responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret plans and specifications;
  • Optimize engineering drawings to company standards;
  • Perform 2D/3D modeling of our disciplines, including: sleeving plans, coordination/installation plans and as-built;
  • Work closely with the site team to ensure that the plans produced correspond to the installation carried out on site;
  • Participate in electromechanical coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts;
  • Take technical surveys and evaluate existing site installations to produce 2D/3D drawings;
  • Produce piping fabrication drawings to maximize installation efficiency on site;
  • Produce sleeve layout plans for the surveyor using Trimble software;
  • All other related tasks.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in building mechanics
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of AutoCad;
  • Knowledge of Revit;
  • Knowledge of Navisworks (an asset)
