Your role

Under the supervision of the BIM Manager, the Technical Draughtsman joining the team will be required to work closely with Project Managers, Estimators and Site Foremen.

Main responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret plans and specifications;
  • Optimize engineering drawings to company standards;
  • 2D/3D modeling of our disciplines, including: sleeving plans, coordination/installation plans and as-built;
  • Active participation with the construction site to ensure that the plans produced represent the installation carried out on site;
  • Participate in electromechanical coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts;
  • Take technical surveys and evaluate existing site installations to produce 2D/3D drawings;
  • Produce piping fabrication drawings to maximize installation efficiency on site;
  • Produce sleeve layout plans for the surveyor using Trimble software;
  • Review BIM management plans;
  • Any other tasks that may be required for this position;

Requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in drafting or Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in building mechanics with experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of AutoCad;
  • Knowledge of Revit and Navisworks (an asset);
  • Knowledge of the Office suite.
