The Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM) wants to make bus travel and accessibility safer.
The project is being carried out in two phases to minimize the impact on this special education school. The first phase was done between July and November 2024. “The work proceeded smoothly. In addition to integrating the piping into the new concrete slab, we also constructed a specialized mechanical room for this component,” stated Antoine Boutin, project manager.
“This project does not present significant challenges for our team. However, it is crucial to coordinate effectively with the contractor responsible for the project, Construction Arcade, as well as with the other trades involved. This is particularly important since we are integrating a heating system into an existing environment.”
The radiant heating system (Rousselot Street drop-off area) was put into operation before the first snowfall. The second phase will take place during the same summer period in 2025, under the same conditions, in order to maintain a safe and calm environment and avoid disrupting school activities.
Jenaco's two-person plumbing team will then install the piping in the new concrete slab designated for the Chambord Street drop-off area. After that, the team will connect the heating system in the already-equipped mechanical room.
Working in collaboration with all stakeholders in this way shows the Jenaco team’s commitment to the success of the project.
