“We were delighted to obtain this mandate of a public nature. Our approach perfectly meets the requirements of this type of expansion project, which demands a great deal of attention from all involved,” says Jean Turgeon, founding president of the firm, which specializes in building mechanics and piping.

This new project in the institutional sector also allowed Jenaco to work for the first time with general contractor Dalco. “It's always motivating for us to establish good relations from the outset with the various players involved in a project,” emphasizes Mr. Turgeon, who advocates a collaborative working mode right from the awarding of a mandate.

The expansion of this elementary school belonging to the Commission scolaire de la Pointe-de-l'Île (CSPÎ) was part of a vast program to enlarge nine schools in its network, which had become necessary in response to a serious lack of space. This school board has welcomed over 3,500 new students in the last 18 months.

A team of four to six people was mobilized to carry out all the plumbing, natural gas and heating work, which was completed in February 2020.
