When this project was officially announced last October, officials noted that there were two projects that would be carried out simultaneously: the expansion of the gymnasiums and the addition of classes and spaces for various purposes. It is estimated that project will cost $57 million, and the work should continue for two years.

“We are very happy to be working again with the general contractor Construction Socam Ltée and to make our contribution in geothermal energy and plumbing,” said Jean Turgeon, founder and president of Jenaco. “Execution of this work will improve the users’ quality of life. It will also contribute to energy transition and climate change mitigation.”

When this vast project is concluded, the Baie Saint-François School in the Vallée-des-Tisserands Centre de services scolaire will increase its capacity by 700 places in addition to offering spaces for adapted clientele, a double gymnasium, and a glass-enclosed weight room.
