Under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to accounting, administrative services and IT management.
The ideal candidate is autonomous, resourceful and responsible. Versatile, a team player and a self-starter.
Your role
- Make certain accounting entries at the request of the immediate superior;
- Prepare GST/QST remittances;
- Follow-up on monthly accruals;
- Follow-up on fixed assets;
- Make depreciation entries;
- Perform bank reconciliations;
- Follow-up on prepaid accounts;
- Ensure strict compliance with the general ledger chart of accounts;
- Verify and analyze :
- Auxiliaries payable and receivable;
- Invoice approval
- Accounts payable statements;
- Supplier payments by cheque or direct deposit;
- Supplier discounts;
- Accuracy of expense accounts;
- Verification of monthly progressive billing table;
- Verify document preparation (releases and statutory declarations);
- Supervise payroll system and prepare file for payroll transmission.
- Ensure payroll compliance;
- Validate payrolls with registers
- Make payroll entries;
- Monitor telecommunication equipment;
- Track access and equipment for each user;
- Follow-up on problems and tickets;
- Software follow-up and updates;
- Purchase all equipment and accessories;
- Ensure equipment inventory
- Make certain accounting entries at the request of the immediate superior;
Requirements
- DEC in administration and/or relevant experience;
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position;
- Experience in the construction industry
- Good knowledge of the accounting cycle and basic financial principles;
- Ability to work in a team, versatility, resourcefulness and sense of responsibility;
- Be organized and proactive;
- Good knowledge of Office software;
- Knowledge of Maestro software would be an asset.
