This public project is no stranger to the vast operation underway in Quebec to bring all fire stations up to the standards of the new Quebec reform. It also responds to the specific needs of this municipality in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges RCM.

"We are proud to contribute our expertise in piping and to be involved, project by project, in this reform to meet the new safety requirements," emphasizes Philippe Poitras, Partner | Director - Estimating, Eng. The awarding of this public mandate also confirms the meticulous work of the members of the estimating team called upon to prepare the file.

A mechanical building project involves many disciplines, including plumbing, drainage, radiant heating and compressed air. It's both complex and challenging, according to Rémy Côté, a foreman on the project who recently completed a similar one.

The fact of having thousands of feet of radiant floor with the use of large-diameter soldered copper pipe adds an additional challenge to all our plumbing and compressed air work.

"The fact of having thousands of feet of radiant floor with the use of large-diameter soldered copper pipe adds an additional challenge to all our plumbing and compressed air work," he explains. The other interesting aspect is the "ability to carry out the project from start to finish. This implies responsibility from the outset, with the satisfaction of a job well done, upon delivery."

This is the first collaboration with the general contractor, Construction Emery Paquette, who is responsible for overseeing the entire project. The project also includes construction of the municipal garage within the same building.

The project, valued at over $13 million, is being built on land that could be expanded in the future. J. Dagenais architecte + associés prepared the plans.
