Jenaco establishes a structured partnership on the North Shore

Visual reflecting the long-term partnership between Jenaco, PCAD & PJL

Jenaco has announced a strategic partnership in building mechanics resulting in the acquisition of the assets of Plomberie et chauffage Alain Daigle (PCAD), a well-established company on Montréal’s North Shore since 1992. Moving forward, the business will operate under the name Plomberie et chauffage Alain Daigle & Associés (PCAD & Ass.), thereby ensuring continuity and preserving its regional identity

This transaction is part of an entrepreneurial succession approach in Québec, aimed at preserving regional businesses, respecting local values, maintaining jobs, and strengthening operational strength in the construction and building mechanics sector.

Ensuring the continuity of Québec businesses by using an investor/operator model

In collaboration with Plomberie JL and Mark Muirhead, CEO of PCAD, Jenaco has adopted an investor/operator model. This concept, different from traditional consolidation approaches, encourages:

  • company autonomy
  • respect for organizational culture
  • sharing of technical expertise
  • maintenance of a strong regional presence

Business succession in the construction sector is a major challenge in Quebec. This model provides a structured solution that enables owners to pass the torch and still ensure continuity of business activities.

““We want to respect the companies that built our industry in the various Québec regions, and, at the same time, provide them with the necessary tools to continue their growth,””
said Jean Turgeon, founder and president of Jenaco.

Strengthening execution capacity in building mechanics

In addition to its entrepreneurial aspect, this partnership seeks to strengthen execution capacity in sophisticated building mechanics projects, with a focus on institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors.

The complementary expertise of the partners will enable:

  • improved resource mobilisation
  • greater operational flexibility
  • structured and effective customer support
  • enhanced quality and safety standards

Customers and suppliers will see the same operations with the same teams according to the same standards, thus ensuring a smooth transition.

A long-term vision for regional development

This acquisition will consolidate Jenaco’s presence on the North Shore and will contribute to the long-term viability of a recognized player in building mechanics. This initiative reflects a commitment to responsible development, based on consistency and operational strength rather than growth driven solely by financial imperatives.

““Our focus is on a model built on stability and sustainable performance. Our objective is to strengthen the position of the companies involved in their respective markets, while still respecting their identity and their contribution to their community,””
concluded Jean Turgeon.

A Québec partnership dedicated to sustainability

By focusing on a Québec-based entrepreneurial partnership model, Jenaco has reaffirmed its commitment to the continuity of regional businesses in Québec’s construction industry.

This initiative shows that it is possible to combine business succession, operational strength, and managed growth, and still preserve the core identity and expertise of the organizations involved.
